Family, Adventures, and Gadgets Collide

Have I told you how much I despise cold weather? No? Well, I much prefer 100 degree temps over 50 degrees ANY day! This is why living in Texas is perfect for me. Well almost perfect. Someday when the hubby and I retire, we may find us a little beach hut to live in during the winter months. That way on the rare occasion when it does snow , we'll have somewhere warm to go hibernate! And since I LoVe warm weather, the fact that spring is in the air makes me HAPPY! Something else that reeeaaallllllyyy makes me happy ... That's right, I participated in Life as Lori's " Spring Fling " and am so HAPPY with my surprises. Don't you just LoVe surprises?!! Decorating for every holiday or season is beyond my domestic abilities. However, I've seen lots and lots of FaBuLoUs ideas for Valentine's decor, even a Valentine's Linky Party hosted by Craftaholics Anonymous . In fact, I've been absorbed by my computer, yet again! I can't stop lurking! There are far too many fun crafts to make for this LoVeLy holiday! So, instead of attempting to decorate my house for this holiday, I dedicated a display case at work. You should join in on the fun too and link up with one of your favorite recipes. One of my favorite desserts to eat make is a Sopapilla Cheesecake. I first tasted this melt-in-your mouth dessert when I first started teaching about nine years ago, but unfortunately I missed out on the recipe. Then, lucky for me, one of my current co-workers and dear friends made the same delectable dessert and brought it to, you guessed it, a teacher's luncheon. Don't worry she shared her recipe! I'm just spreading the love! Sopapilla Cheesecake: INGREDIENTS: 2 bricks of cream cheese, 2 cans crescent rolls, 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 stick melted butter, sugar & cinnamon to sprinkle DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 and grease 9x13 baking dish. Strange that I started this blog at this same time last year! I remember reading through a friend's blog and thinking how fun it would be to have my own! Well, maybe it hasn't been quite the journey I dreamed it would be, but I'm going to get back on the blogging saddle, or at least try. :-) As I attempt to get my blog back up and running, one question continues to play like a broken record in my head. What am I going to blog about? ... We have not added a new addition to the family like this dear friend . I don't have any dainty treasures or creative keepsakes to sell. I am not a regularly crafty creator like those posted over at Just-A-Girl's " I can make that party ." (A blog party I discovered during this same time last year.) So, what's a non-domestic, sport fanatic, tech-addicted gal like me going to blog about? I'm just as uncertain as you are my dear reader! Only time will tell.
